Spiral Cellars (UK) are looking for a savvy Interior Designer based in SA, with good communication and attention to detail skills for international projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Experienced, organized, motivated, self-starting Interior designer, with good time management skills and focused work ethic.
  • The candidate must be proficient in joinery design and detailing of interiors, with an attentive eye for detail and excellent technical knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and conscientious attention to detail.
  • Supporting role to senior designer and other colleagues, technically skilled in producing a professional set of working drawings and highly detailed joinery packages
  • Must be able to execute work independently, as part of a larger international team; take initiative; work efficiently and produce a high standard of work and meet deadlines.
  • Work from home position – can be based anywhere in South Africa, with preference to Cape Town based applicants (all meetings are done digitally, with local team based in Cape Town).
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD. 3D capabilities are a bonus but not essential.
  • Candidates need to be highly competent in Microsoft Office suite
  • Projects based in the UK, Europe, Middle East and USA.
  • 5-7+ years’ experience (mid-senior level designer) and a love of wine preferable
  • Ability to work through loadshedding (unaffected), ie: have own generator / inverter power
  • South African citizen or valid work permit.
  • Initially 1-month contract to ‘test the waters’ and thereafter 3-month probation contract, leading to permanent position

Potential travel opportunities:

  • Driver’s license not essential, but advisable
