WAREHOUSE & LOGISTIC OPERATOR, DRIVER – BELLVILLE SOUTH
We currently have a vacant position as a Warehouse & Logistic Operator (Driver). The incumbent will be based in Bellville South.
The incumbent will be responsible for the picking and loading of products, and to transport products from one place to the next.
They are to ensure that the products are received and delivered in a timely and professional manner.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Code C1 Driver’s license
- Valid PDP
- Forklift licenses will be advantageous.
- Good communication skills.
Skills and duties:
- Assist with the on-and-off loading of trucks, Bellville Warehouse, clients, and Somerset West.
- Ensuring that the correct stock is loaded according to the invoice.
- Take responsibility for the safety of the truck and its cargo.
- Navigation of routes to clients.
- Conform to National Road legislation.
- Drive courteously and respectfully.
- Ensure your uniform and appearance is neat, tidy and clean always, especially when dealing with customers and the general public.
- Assist with the paperwork, ensuring that receipts are signed on delivery.
- Assist with transfers of finished goods on a weekend between Somerset West and the Bellville distribution centre when required.
- Ensure that the truck and equipment on the truck are in good working order and that any repairs are reported timeously.
- Assist with warehouse housekeeping when required.
- Ensure that the truck is kept clean.
- Professionally interact with customers.
