CODE 8 DELIVERY DRIVER – BLACKHEATH

Duties:

• Deliver a wide variety of goods and/or items to scheduled addresses.
• Ensure that products are delivered promptly.
• Make sure that the delivery schedule is followed.
• Drive safely and promptly to customers’ addresses.
• Assist in loading and unloading goods and/or items to be delivered safely.
• Maintain proper knowledge of loaded items.
• Ensure that goods and/or items are properly arranged and secured inside the delivery vehicle.
• Have a strong knowledge of the local area.
• Drive the vehicle to the point of delivery by using the best possible route.
• Maintain the vehicle inside and outside in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
• Ensure that delivery receipts are signed.
• Maintain and organize all delivery paperwork and deliver it to the proper personnel at the end of each shift.
• Make sure that the vehicle’s paperwork is in order.
• Ensure that both general and preventative maintenance measures are performed on the vehicle.

Delivery driver requirements and qualifications:

• Must have a Grade 12 Diploma or GED
• Have a valid professional driver’s license.
• With a good and clean driving record.
• Hardworking and with good moral character.
• Must be loyal to the Company and trustworthy.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a local delivery driver.
• Able to pass the company driving test, background checks, and drug test.
• Must possess a positive and professional attitude.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Knowledgeable of record-keeping techniques.
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
